Meetings
Committee

The group meets in the OIR Office Meeting Room on Mondays at 2pm,
beginning
 Monday 7th January 2008.

The proposed weekly meetings of this group will be a forum for the discussion of problems concerning both still and video photography. The focus of discussions will be on achieving results and not on the technology. Technical matters relating to the taking of pictures, their editing, viewing, and printing, will be dealt with as they arise.

Most members will know that digital cameras and camcorders are now much more common than traditional cameras using celluloid.   Computers will be available if they are required, but members without computers should not feel excluded from the activities of the group.

The Photography Group meetings will operate as a "problem solving and discussion" group. There is no need to book attendance in advance though I would find it helpful to have an e-mail describing the problem that a member would like discussed.

Some members may find it useful to attend just occasionally whilst others prefer to attend fairly regularly. The pattern described above should be regarded as experimental and subject to change, and may prove to be impractical.

I have been encouraged by a few members to think this new group is worth trying.
